In my third year at the University of Maryland, I applied and was accepted to the English Department's honors program. It gave me the opportunity to participate in advanced seminars and develop a critical thesis under the mentorship of Professor Mary Helen Washington.

As an editorial intern for Moment Magazine, I reported on Jewish news and culture, proofread digital and print content, and developed the publication's social media accounts.

My admittance to the University of Maryland included an invitation to the College Park Scholars program. I enrolled in the International Studies track, which explored global citizenship, political ethics, and international law.

At Columbia University, I took part in an intensive publishing course on book, magazine, and digital media publishing. During the workshops, my peers and I worked together to develop a publishing house for women-identifying academics called Minerva Press and a travel magazine called Detourist.

BuzzFeed brought me on to bridge the gap between Nifty's editorial and video content. Later, I worked to raise the vertical to meet journalistic standards. I often wrote for the other two lifestyle verticals, Tasty and Goodful.

As a freelance writer, I took on a wide variety of assignments. To name a few, I reported on NYC's gifted program for Gothamist, wrote an essay for The Goods by Vox, developed explainers for Martha Stewart, wrote YouTube scripts for Food Theory, and transcribed interviews for The Nation.

2019 – 2022
As founding editor of the Wix Restaurants Blog, I manage the editorial calendar, edit freelance writers, oversee the art direction, and write articles that help restaurateurs grow. I also collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to develop a promotion strategy.

Although my main focus as Senior Supervising Editor of the Wix Blog is to keep editorial quality high and to spearhead our thought leadership and trending content production efforts, I am also responsible for overseeing the editorial calendar, copyediting, managing workflows, and working with our Team Lead to develop our editorial strategy.
